Anton MD Specialized Supercomputer

Anton is specialized supercomputer specifically designed to perform all-atom molecular dynamics simulation. Anton was developed by D.E. Shaw Research and it demonstrates unprecedented speed allowing calculating five microseconds long MD trajectory for system of size around 100 thousands atoms in a single day. The first Anton machine released to US academic community is located in Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center, where I am a member of Anton users support team.

Below is a small video demonstrating the Anton capabilities. I use it during workshops to cheer up participants after long morning of instructions on Anton operations.
